We have taken many small steps in the right direction to be an Environmentally friendly guesthouse as we truly believe this is the only way forward.

Here are some of the steps we have taken so far:

• Bath and shower water goes into a "Grey water" storage tank and is used to water our beautiful gardens.
• We use bore hole water to supplement this.
• Solar Power warms our water.
• We recycle most waste.
• Supplies for The Wild Olive are bought locally with re-usable carrier bags.
• Glass bottles are recycled at the local bottle bank.
• We use Organic Cotton Towels produced in South Africa.
• 100% 300 thread count Egyptian cotton sheeting locally produced.
• We serve locally produced cheeses at breakfast.
