Chris and Louise helped make my trip and their knowledge of the local avifauna was second to none. Each time that I returned during my 4 weeks travelling around SA, I was made very welcome at Afton Grove. They were genuinely interested in what I had seen and where I had been, this retreat is genuinely birder friendly. The food was superb; the rooms are bright, clean and exceedingly well appointed, while the grounds are immaculately maintained. I cannot recommend Afton Grove enough"
