There are plenty of activities to choose from staring with the Blue Flag beaches a mere 10-minute walk from Crooked Tree Cottage.

Gateway Theatre of Shopping: A centre with a 60%: 40% ratio of shopping to Entertainment facilities, with shopping the main activity. The centre boasts many label brand stores as well as chain store shopping. There are 17 cinemas, 5 art neavou cinemas and an Imax. There is also a go cart track, 27-metre rock climbing wall, wave house, 10 pin bowling alley and a science centre for the kids. All of this, and a seriously long list of restaurants to choose from.

Ushaka Marine World: A fantastic theme park with both a water world and an amazing aquarium, which is ranked as one of the top 5 aquariums in the world. Swim with the manta rays or cage dive with the sharks. Dolphin, seal and penguin shows are performed throughout the day.

Golf: There are several top class golfing estates close by, Beachway, Mt Edgecombe, Zimbali and Princes Grant, to name but a few.
