Access by car from Gauteng
Follow the N4 from Gauteng to Nelspruit, Malelane, Hectorspruit and Komatipoort. From Komatipoort follow the tar road towards Crocodile Bridge Gate Drive. Turn left at the Ngwenya Lodge and Marloth Park signboards and follow the dirt road for 6km to the entrance to Ngwenya on the right hand side.  Check in at Reception and they will explain how to get to Hippo Hills. Total drive time is around 4.5h.

Access by air
There are daily flights (Nationwide, Inter-Air and SA Airlink) between Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport) and Cape Town to Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport (KMIA) just outside Nelspruit. Car hire facilities (Avis, Imperial, Hertz) are available. The drive time from here to Hippo Hills is about 60 minutes.
