Saint du Barrys is more than a B&B or guest-house: it is a home with a reputation for comfort, personal attention, friendliness and helpfulness. The Swiss and Scottish backgrounds of the hosts, Wally and Joan, create an atmosphere of cheerfulness and generosity and the friendly dogs and cats are at hand to create a home from home for guests who miss their pets. The parrot, Ramius the Red October, is capable of amusing an audience for hours.

Country Setting
Overlooking an orange orchard, between the Olifants and Jan Dissels rivers, the air here is clean and clear, and the light has magical qualities.

Beautiful Garden and Swimming Pool
All five of the suites open to the garden, the centre of which is a huge wild fig tree. This tree is well over a hundred years old, and gives the lodge its own ambience of peace and protection.
Guests are welcome to relax in the garden around the fish pond, to use the splash pool and to enjoy drinks on the shaded verandah or in the guest lounge in the hundred year old section of the lodge.
